Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back

Mark came home Friday after a week long golfing trip with his friend Mark, one of our church deacons, who is also Jen's husband. When he was away he asked if there was anything I wanted him to bring me from North Carolina. I wanted Apple Jacks. Okay, silly request. But when you like something and you can't buy it in Canada, then it makes it even more desirable. I think this was the easiest gift he's ever bought. Of course, he came home with four boxes; should last me for a little while.

I miss my husband LOTS when he's gone. I really don't like him leaving at all. Okay, I'm a big baby. But, he had a wonderful time and needed the break. And when you get your husband back all refreshed and relaxed; it's worth it.

We celebrated his homecoming Saturday night at our favourite new restaurant in town, Earl & Angelo's. Just the two of us, of course. They make a great steak and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your very sweet post on my blog! It is nice to connect with other women online who love the Lord.

I'm glad you got your Apple Jacks!

I used to love those as a kid. They and Honeycomb were staples in our house.

I just noticed on your profile you have 3 kids. So do I and guess what? Mine are 17, 15, and 12. Girl, boy, girl.

Hmmm..Apple jacks......

I love it when we have date nights. Especially after we have had a busy week and need some time together. I think we might have to give Earl and Angelo's a try.

I don't think it was a silly request at all! Apple Jacks were my absolute favorite when I was a young girl. Now they're our grand daughter's favorite breakfast.

Rhonda...I noticed that we both have a 17-year old and an 11-year old. You have one in between...I have one much older (he'll be 27 in just 3 weeks...Aaaack!)

That is too funny. Maybe you should write to the Apple Jack's people and they will feel sorry for you and send you a years supply. lol.

I agree it is wonderful when our hubby's get a little time to themselves and then come all refreshed.

Blessings,
Julie
