Mothers, it is time to pick up your sword. It is time to stand guard. You need to be prepared and ready. We need to protect the next generation. We must equip and empower the Daughters.
This is a time of action. You must be poised and ready to stand on guard for our daughters.
Are you ready?? Are you willing?? You are able!!
Epesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We had an amazing conference at our church this past weekend and God deposited the above into my heart. This was an exhortation to my own spirit, however, I am extending it along to you.
Lisa Bevere said it best. "There's a difference between a Mentor and a Mother. God is looking for more than mentoring. Mentors tend to reproduce themselves. But, Mothers want more for their Daughters. They not only reproduce themselves, they push them higher. There is not usually competition between Mothers and their children. Mothers want more for their children than they ever had for themselves."
I highly recommend Lisa Bevere's book, Kissed The Girls And Made Them Cry.

Love this...awesome declaration....be blessed woman of God!
Yeah Rhonda! I have been challanged lately to be both a BRIDE and a WARRIOR!
I love that definition of the dif between a mother and a mentor. It really defines it doesn't it? This was a great challenge and rallying cry, Rhonda!
BTW, I tagged you today. Tried to find an email address to let you know but couldn't find it so I'm mentioning it here.
Hi Rhonda,
Loved your post! Even though I am not a mom I still feel as though I have that inner warrior to protect the next generation.
Anyhow, as for my brother I called my parents on Sunday afternoon to see why Cory said it was his last Sunday and he said he wants to sit in and listen to the sermons on Sunday morning as opposed to going to Sunday school. So he isn't going very far lol!
Take Care and give the family my love!
Many Blessings,
Amanda
Rhonda- thank you, that is a perfect word for me today. I have been thinking about this exact subject. My 15 year old daughter wants me to homeschool her next year. She has been sharing with me how her walk with the Lord has struggled in her public school. I have felt that God is promting me to really spend time with her and train her in the Word.
Thank you!
You have challenged me.
This is so true it was the prayers of my mother that protected me and eventually brought me back serving the Lord and and doing His work. Lord says rise up Mothers you are warriors called to battle.
