VBS Week

This past week our church did a VBS. Holly, Jen and I were group leaders of the same group. The 11 and 12 year olds. We had soo much fun and of course the very best group. This was only because our group seemed to have the very best leaders. At least Holly, Jen and I thought so.

It was a great week with lots of volunteers; which is key to the success of any event.

Our Kids' Church band performed all week and were amazing. Our main song for our theme of the week was Voice of Truth. Watch it below performed by Casting Crowns (almost as good).

Hey, cute pic. But I look tired. Wait a minute...I was! Hee-hee. This is the 1st VBS that I have been a part of, on the other side...
When I was about 7 I attended a VBS at a Baptist Church. I adored it and sang all the songs that I learned to my (un-churched)parents and all their friends. I still remember some of the songs that I learned that week...some 25 ago! It had a great impact on me and maybe my whole family...since we are all serving the Lord now.
God bless all the kids that go to VBS this summer and their families!

I was very excited to hear that Desert Stream had it's very first VBS week! Going to VBS at Maranatha when I was younger was always enjoyable and I am so glad that children and youth have that opportunity to learn more about the life of Christ in creative ways!I am glad to hear it went well and can't wait to hear more about it when I return home!

Love you,
Amanda
