My Week

This week brought two more snow days for the kids which equated to a couple of quiet, get-caught-up days-at-work for me. (This, however, ended on Friday when they were all back to school. I think that the students had saved up everything on their days off and I got a full dose on the last day of the week. - I was just glad that I it was Friday.)

I started my on-line book club with Lisa Whelchel this week. This is my first time with an on-line book club and so-far, so-good. I have moved on into the second chapter of the book Captivating and I must say that I encountered an uhh huh moment. I received a new understanding in my spirit while reading about God's creation of Eve. I've heard and read others describe Eve and her creation but never before received such revelation as I did while reading this chapter. But you check it out for yourself. I'm looking forward to Lisa's questions this Monday.

I received more clarification on my (and my husband's) favour at the high school that I work at. We have been believing for favour there and it seems to be happening again. More to come on this...

I'm developing an increased interest in Words. I love to read and I thoroughly enjoy blogging. Words, phrases and new ways of saying things have been increasingly intriguing me. I like challenging myself to express my thoughts in the best way possible. It amazes me that we all have access to the same words and that by putting them together differently we can convey so many different ideas.

A great friend celebrated a birthday this week. Shari. I became friends with Shari eleven years ago. My husband and I had began to attend church again. And the church that we chose happened to be the one that she and her husband were pastoring. Shari has been a great friend, confidante, mentor, encourager and example of a godly wife. She loves her God, cherishes her husband and adores her children. She is very thoughtful and reaches out to meet the needs of others before most people would notice. She is the type of woman who gets right in there and gets her hands dirty. Because she really cares. Count yourself blessed if you call Shari 'Friend'.

Happy Birthday Shari!!
