I mentioned isolation in Monday's post. Sometimes it feels easier to be alone. Alone in the comfort and safety of our homes.
We were not created to be alone. Adam was alone and we (daughters of Eve) were created for relationship. We were an answer to Adam's loneliness.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
Genesis 2:18 (NLT)
It is not good for man to be alone. We know that women are relational. We define ourselves in terms of our relationships. Women are life and relationship connectors.
Are you waiting for your phone to ring?? Take initiative. Don't wait for others to contact you. Step out beyond yourself. You need to be in charge of your own calendar.
The best part about being the initiator is that you get to make the connections. You can choose when works ideally for you. You can be the one to make it happen.
We need to look beyond ourselves and get involved in the lives of others.

So true Rhonda!
It is often so much easier to just stay in our own preoccupied world....but so much more rewarding to take chances and get involved in other people's worlds...and allow them into ours.
Thanks for motivating me to get out there and just do it! I am so bad about complaining because no one has called me to do anything, wah, wah, wah.....
I need to be willing to take the initiative and make a connection!

Even when we take the time to reflect about happy memories they always involve other people. No one says, "Wow, that day I spent totally by myself was amazing!" O.K., once in awhile some "alone" time is nice, but that's different. Remember the old Bell Telephone slogan, "Reach out and touch someone!" They were on to something!
That is so true! We just have to be willing to expose ourselves!
Have a great day and I love the picture of Horton! My youngest went to see it this weekend and enjoyed it!
Hey Rhonda, good word. Sooooo true!!!!
