“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.
Matthew 7:1-2 (NLT)

Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
Luke 6:31 (NLT)

My favorite verses on judgment are:

"So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty.

For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment." James 2:12-13

Those words are so powerful!

Thanks for the reminder, its funny how we can slip into a judgement mindset so easily at times!

Have a great weekend,

Our bible study is on Romans 14 right now. Very much the same thing you are talking about here, judging other believers. It has really opened my eyes and convicted me. I have been praying that God will soften my heart and keep me from my natural tendency to be judgmental. I am so grateful for the power we have in the Holy Spirit!

Thanks for sharing this today!

We never get it right when we judge anyway and it does a tremendous amount of damage....like a vicious snowball...so what is the point?

Rhonda ... I love reading blogs and I love "tuning in" when people share cute stories or bit of their lives. But I have to admit, just reading your last two posts which were completely scripture really blessed me. I just read them over and over and let the Word of God penetrate into my heart and applied the scriptures to situations I'm facing. The Word of God is so powerful!

Such wise words. Too often we judge others and like Jen said we dont get it right and it causes damage.
Words to try to remember to carry with us every day.
