27 years ago today Mark & I went on our first date!
We were in high school. He was 14 (almost 15) and I was 16.
We went to a hockey game with another couple. (I don't remember the game at all.)
Afterwards we went to the other boy's house. (I don't remember many details of that part either.)
The next day was Sunday. I got to see him at church.
After church, the other couple, along with Mark & I, went to watch the Santa Claus Parade. (I don't remember anything about the parade.)
After the parade Mark had to go to his grandparents' home for a family dinner. Mark gave us directions and we drove him there. Later I would realize that we took the long way to their house.
I got out of the car to say goodbye to him before we left him at his grandparents'.
While standing in the driveway, on a cold Sunday afternoon, my husband kissed me, for the very first time.
I remember that kiss. I remember it very well.
Happy Anniversary of our first date!
We leave tomorrow morning for Miami and on Sunday will set sail on a cruise to celebrate 20 years of marriage.
I love my husband more today than I could have dreamed possible.

Our home will be occupied while we are away by Mark's parents, 4 teenagers and one dog.

Have a wonderful cruise!!! So fitting to take your cruise now. Not many can remember the anniversary date of their first date. (I remember mine too) They are very special memories.
I remember Mark and my first kiss VERY well too...we had gone on a couple of dates a few years before, but had not so much as held hands.
My best friend had dated Mark a few years before that, and when she knew I was going to stop seeing him, she begged me to kiss him once before I did...she told me he was an amazing kisser.
I waited until Dec. 9, 1988 to find out she was right!!!

I remember my 1st kiss with my husband, like it was yesterday. In actuality it was almost 18 years ago!! We were walking in the woods in New Brunswick, in Aug 1991...the woods smell so good and honestly that kiss was magical!!!!
