Sarah's Girls Group

My 19 year old daughter Sarah mentors a girls' group. She started last year with two girls when they entered high school. They met together and studied the book God Called A Girl by Shannon Kubiak.

This year the group has seen some new girls join in. They are now studying His Girl by Vicki Courtney; a book and dvd series.

Sarah affectionately refers to the young ladies in her group as 'my girls'. Sarah loves mentoring.

Last night Sarah had the girls overnight at our house for a sleepover with snacks, movies and hot-tubbing. Including Sarah, there were eight of them all sprawled in our family room with sleeping bags & pillows. This morning my husband made the young ladies breakfast with waffles, sausage and bacon.

I snapped a couple of pictures this morning after one of the girls had already left. Sarah wouldn't let me include herself, so she's missing as well.

The girls are playing a card game called 'Spoons'.

Here they are playing 'The Laughing Game'.

These girls are wonderful young ladies and were so much fun to have in our home.

Sarah is truly an amazing woman of God.
Bless you Sarah for mentoring the young ladies of today.
This will be an experience they will carry with them the rest of their lives.

And parents like me are truly thankful for the example that Sarah is. Knowing how much she loves our kids and is willing to speak into their lives and dedicate her time to them means a lot to us!

ps. It's also a bonus when she plans a sleepover cause it means I can have a date night!
