My least favourite expression: 'Meh.'
I was first introduced to this expression at Youth Convention this year. Some of the teenagers were using this new slang. In answer to how they were doing, they would say "meh". Or, if you asked them a 'yes' or 'no' question - they would answer... well, you know. 'Meh'.
I've grown to strongly dislike this phrase - Okay, I really hate it. And of course since I've voiced my opinion to my two teenagers - their enthusiasm to use it has grown. They love any opportunity to answer me with "meh". And then they watch and wait...for my reaction.
Sometimes I play it up and give them the reaction they're looking for. And sometimes I decide to completely not react at all.
I guess you could say that I feel 'meh' about the word MEH.

Mike used to say that when he was a teen about 8 years ago.
It drove me crazy and he knew it, but the one that really drives me nuts is when someone says "My Bad"

Love it - lol. My niece uses that term all the time and to be honest, I find it a little irritating as well. Oh well...I'm sure we said things that drove our parents crazy too huh? lol

I so know what you mean! I really don't like it when I hear it from others, but I often find myself feeling kinda 'meh' about some things, you know that I mean right? Like when you really just don't know what to think or how to feel about a situation or idea...
lol....I just caught myself saying "Meh" today!hahaha
.I'm sure we said things that drove our parents crazy too huh?
