I received a forwarded email on Friday. It included a recipe that was supposedly sent because a woman had visited a large department store and had been charged a large amount of money for a recipe that she thought was only costing her a few dollars.
Whether or not the email was true, I tried the recipe and the cookies are really good.
1 cup butter
350 g chocolate chips
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1 cup Grated Cadbury chocolate
2 1/2 cups oats
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add chocolate chips, grated Chocolate and nuts. Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees (180 C).

I have 8 little girl hands rolling this huge batch of cookies in to balls for me as I type...we all think that the cookie dough tastes great anyway...let you know about the baked cookies...I actually think that when my three stones are filled, I will freeze the rest to bake at another time when we feel the need for fresh cookies.
that is a lot of chocolate!! How could they NOT be good! lol ;)
