Sometimes it can be difficult to see people the way that God sees them. To see past the walls that they have built to protect themselves. The walls which are inhibiting them from embracing the love that God has for them.
It can be easier to only visualize people where they are right now and not see them fulfilling all of their Godly potential.
I was praying and asking God to help me to love others the way that He does. I asked God to allow me to see people after their hearts have been changed and living for Him. I wanted to see them (in my mind) the way that God can see them. I wanted to be able to love them. I so wanted to see past their situations and see them living in God's will.
BUT! God said to me that He loves them at their absolute worst. God told me that I have to love them right where they are now.
John 13:34 says "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Good one Rhonda. I am being challanged right along with you!
Love,
Holly
Hi, I just came across your blog here and wanted to share that I was just thinking about this particular command this morning also. I believe it is not only an important one, but the very foundation of all Christian motives. When we can recognize how we are all connected as one body in Christ then we can meet the needs of other's as if they were our own.
Excellant thought, it seems like an easy thing to do, until we are faced with doing it. God seems to put those people in our paths that remind us that God is a God of grace and we need to keep working towards being more like Him. Keep up the great thoughts and sharing them with the rest of us, to remind us everyday is a new challenge but we are on the winning team. Bless You
You have definetly given me something to think about!!! Thank goodness for the FATHER'S LOVE!!!!
This touches on somethings we talked about/prayed about at our meeting last night. God is definately challenging me in this area!
Great Post!
This is a hard one especially for me at work right now. I am treated so poorly by a few of the ladies...and talked about a lot behind my back. In light of all of that I keep praying and asking God to help me see them thru His eyes. I find that this works better than trying to picture them with the head of a dog as Cheryl Molenaar suggested on my blog!lol
