For Sale

This weekend we are preparing for another Open House. We listed our home in December. We have been thinking about moving into town. (We live 10 minutes north.) We found the perfect house that God wanted us to have. Or so I thought. We put an offer on it and set about to sell our home. One month later, the house was purchased by someone else. Another four months, the For Sale sign still sits on our front lawn.

We have looked at a few houses, but are not completely sure yet. We aren't even 100% sure which area of the city we would like to live. One end would be close to the high school where I work and where our children attend. The other end would be close to our church, which would be wonderfully convenient to our ministry life.

Mark bought me a pool for Mother's Day two years ago. So...I would really like a house with a pool. But only if it is the right home for us.

One thing we do know for sure. We want the home that God has intended us to have. Whether it be not even moving at all.

The way I see it..it sounds like it's a blessing that your house hasn't sold yet. It would be nice if you didn't have to move twice, putting stuff in storage, until you find the right location and home for your family.
In the meantime it can be fun to check out open houses and your family will be very helpful in keeping your own home really tidy while it's on the market.
We once sold a house that wasn't even on the market. A buyer came along and was willing to give us exactly what we wanted. The funny thing is, because I wasn't expecting them, my house was a disaster when they first looked at it. It's a long story that I won'g go into...

I found this process very stressful.....of course I'm the girls who doesn't like change.

We intially had a completely different house in our hearts to buy and the door shut. About 18 months later we purchased the home we currently are in. It has been a HUGE blessing. If we been living in the other house it would have been very challenging to have "extra people" come and go.

God knows best - sometimes I just wish that he'd give me a copy of the future - (oh, my control issues are surfacing again!)

So I guess this answers my earlier question on if you moved or not.:o)
