Rhonda's Recipes

Macaroni and Cheese

2 c elbow macaroni
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
dash pepper
2 c milk
2 c shredded sharp cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. For cheese sauce, in a saucepan melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper. Add milk; cook and stir till thickened. Add cheese; stir till melted.

Put macaroni in casserole dish or roasting pan. Pour cheese sauce over and thoroughly combine. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Bake uncovered in oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

My kids always tell me that Rhonda makes the Best Mac and Cheese.....so now with your recipe I have no more excuses.

This is Jonathan's favourite meal. No, not a side dish - his favourite MEAL. Feel free to add more cheese than the recipe calls for.

MMMMM, now I'm craving mac and cheese. I'll have to try this. I usually just plonk cheese whiz onto macaroni, but this sounds sooo much better!
