Subliminal Messaging

The Pastor mentioned a Harvey's hamburger in his message. My husband and I did not hear him preaching. We were in the Children's Unit leading the
6-12 age group. After church our schedule did not permit us time to go home for lunch. With less than an hour to eat something, we opted for a quick restaurant. I chose Harvey's. We arrived and placed our order. We entered the dining room to discover two other families from church. Right after we came another fellow from church arrived. While enjoying our food Pastor Todd and his daughter Ashley came and sat with us. We were curious. Why were so many of us all coincidentally choosing the same restaurant on the same Sunday? We were then informed of Pastor's message.

Was Pastor receiving a kick-back for the subliminal message????????????????

I think Harvey's is on to something.

Pastor Kevin spoke on the power of words....Does he have any idea of the literal power of his own????

If only the rest of the message proves as effective....
I LOVE....and HATE the power of words!

Rhonda,
You're a funny girl. I never thought of it till I read your post but Sunday morning after church, I was craving a burger...and I rarely eat burgers. We had hamburger and turkey burgers (lower fat) for our lunch on Sunday. I would highly recommend the turkey burgers - Amazing!!

In answer to your closing question No pastor didn't get a kick-back for the subliminal message.....instead he got to barbeque for his own family!!

Funny, we had burgers for lunch on Sunday too. (at home)

Did anyone go to Swiss Chalet? I know he mentioned that restaurant as well.

Hmmm...the power of words.

So we better worry if Pastor suddenly mentions drugs in his message!

That is funny! My husband used to talk about double cheeseburgers from Burger King and people would complain about how hungry they got during church!

Now as a husband if I can get the pastor to mention "motorbike" I will probably be able to get one. Hmmm us guys might be on to something, while wifes sleep we can be whispering the things we want or get the pastor to work it into his sermon. Thanks for the tip, there are going to be alot happy guys around the town.

Okay. Rhonda...
On second thought...are you getting a kickback from Harveys? Because I am suddenly craving a burger...
Oh wait, that's normal...

It was really quite amusing to see us all keep coming in. I was one of the followers of my pastors words. I wonder if we weren't soo hungry during church would we have followed the suggestion so easily, or did the suggestion just capture us and we were defenseless until we had a beautiful burger, grilled to perfection. OHHHHH ohhhh wwhhhoooooo Im going to go put a pot on my head so nobody can read my mind. ( just something on a move clip I saw.)

Just wondering if my husband is Mr Anonymous. I got him a years subscription for a Motorcycle magazine and he has been reading them from cover to cover, choosing his latest favorite bike with each issue!!
