Gratitude Saturday

1. Just found out that I've received the Thinking Blogger Award. I'm very excited. (More details to come on what that is all about.)

2. Dental benefits. Mark and Jonathan had a dental visit this week. I so appreciate the opportunity to go to the dentist. My Dad lost all of his teeth when he was 18 (as did most of his family). My Dad made dental visits and teeth brushing a priority for me and my sister and brother. I am so grateful for that.

3. A husband that understands the importance of his wife choosing their new home. (We've been house hunting.)

4. A living, loving God who answers our prayers. Even when it's the answer we think that we are not looking for. (Clear as mud??)

5. Grace.

6. Deals. My son got a superb deal on a new bass guitar yesterday. I love it when my children understand the truthes of tithing first-hand.

7. Marriage. We spent this evening with some young married couples from our church, at our pastor's home. It's wonderful to see them embracing all that God has for their marriages so early along. I love seeing young couples learning the importance of protecting their marriage.

8. Barbeque Season. Food just tastes better from the grill. And not because my husband cooked - he pretty much cooks all the time.

9. I love that when we have hurdles or trials or just situations that are not fun, God equips us to handle them. Thank you Lord that you will not forsake us.

10. Lastly, I need to mention Mark and Jen, elders in our church. Mark - you know why I am mentioning you. And Jen - you are an inspiration.

You really are a sweet heart....You caught me off guard, and I found myself choked up.
Thanks!

Mark got a mention....was this an honorable mention or simply an including him as Jen's husband?

Your husband is a very good cook but you sure can bake.

That's wonderful about your home selling and getting the blogging award.
