The Father's Heart

I spoke on the phone tonight to a mom that I've never met before about a young girl. Her daughter. Her daughter has moved in with us for a short stay. Her mom repeatedly thanked me as she is overwhelmed with how God has answered her prayers.

The mom lives 2 1/2 hrs away while the daughter has lived here for the past two years going to college and working. After the daughter left for college her parents marriage ended.

This daughter is all alone and has needed to have parents close by. The mom has become saved since the daughter left home and has been praying for her daughter.

Imagine the mom's surprise when she finds out that her child has been taken in by a family that are of the same faith & denomination that she is and that they are Pastors on top of that. The mom was very excited. It is very humbling to be a part of an answer to prayer.

I ask you to pray for this girl and her family.

I pray that while she is staying with us that the Father's heart is revealed to her in a very real way.

That is so cool! That is so much like the heart of God to open our homes to others. I'm sure God will use this time to bless both families.

Isn't it wonderful how God works? And how faithful of your family to let God work through you. You'll have to let us know how things go! Bless you all!

My husband and I are licensed foster parents and we applaud any other family willing to open up their hearts and their home to somebody else's child. We were also called by God to grow our family in this way. We know that He is calling us to do the very best we can for each of these children as we can in whatever time we have with them.

Thank you for hearing God and for being a blessing for this young girl and for her mother.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Now that you're moving to a "bigger" home you never know "who" will cross your path or perhaps lay their head down to sleep under your roof!!

I've learned that God always has a plan and it is an honor to be part of other lives!! The years to come will reveal the fruit from your decision to bless this girl.
