My husband is the Family Ministries Pastor at our church. This includes overseeing children, junior high and youth ministries.
I work in the office at the biggest high school in our city. Most of the youth from our church attend this high school. (It is not a christian high school; it is a public high school.)
My husband has volunteered as a football coach for the past three years at this same school.
We both seem to have favour at this school. We need to be influencing our world!!!
When Mark & I began to hands on lead the Youth of our church we prayed that we could influence the biggest high school in our city. It was after that that Mark began to coach football there. He has been asked back each year and he is headed towards his fourth year. He has developed a great relationship with the coaching staff at the school.
Through building relationships one of the coaches at the school asked my husband if he will marry him and his future bride this summer. (This couple has no church background.)
A couple of weeks ago the office supervisor informed me that the principals wanted to establish a new student supervisory position at the school. And they wanted to know if I knew of anyone that would like the job.
I immediately began to ponder in my mind if I knew of anyone who needed a job. I could not think of anyone.
Then I realized that this was not about finding someone that was looking for a job. This was an opportunity for us (believers) to continue to have more influence in this school.
God wants to inhabit this educational facility.
I thought of Jen.
She would be perfect. The hours (only three hours a day, 5 days a week) would probably be ideal for her.
She is an amazing mom. A powerful intercessor. A strong leader. A capable woman. A doting caregiver.
And best of all she would bring Christ into another part of this school. This is all an answer to our prayers to influence this school and win it over for the Lord.
I am very excited for her. Please visit her blog and read the rest of the story.

Yeah hoo for Jen!!!
Favor & influence. More Lord!
Thank you so much for everything Rhonda, and just think, we can now tell people that we go to high school together! Hee hee!
I just read Jen's comment... now I'm feeling very old... too old for high school.
It's wonderful that you and Mark have such favour. Joseph had favour in the bible - great leaders came to him for guidnace - as a result great things were accomplished and provision was made for the famine.
Life in God is an adventure... it's exciting to see the pieces come together.
You are a great connector!
lol....that's awesome!:o)
