20 years ago today I married my best friend.
Mark & I met in church.
I remember the first Sunday that his family came to our church. Our pastor had his family stand and introduced them to the congregation. I noticed Mark right away. My cousin & I introduced ourselves to him, but when I found out that Mark was one & a half years younger than me, I decided to try and set him up with my friend that was the same age as he. But, that was not meant to be.
Mark & I started dating in November 1981. We married July 30, 1988.
We celebrated our anniversary, this year, with a drive around 'The County', visiting the shops in Bloomfield, driving through Picton and the Sandbanks.
We ate a wonderful steak dinner at our favourite fine restaurant; Earl & Angelo's.
One of the things I've always loved about my husband is the importance he places on anniversaries. Needless to say, he is the very best at buying jewellery and loves to surprise me.
My husband is very sentimental and has a very big heart.
On our tenth anniversary he surprised me with a trip to the Bear Trail Inn. It is a couples only resort near Algonquin Park, Ontario.
This year, for our twentieth anniversary, my husband has outdone himself. He is taking me on a Caribbean Cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am beyond excited. I have never been on a cruise ship and have always wanted to go.
