My husband has another member of our family hooked on football.
Brittany!
Mark and Jonathan along with Pastor Todd and his son Ryan have purchased a package of tickets for the CFL team, The Toronto Argonauts. This past week Jonathan was unable to attend the game that they were scheduled to attend. So, Mark invited Brittany to use Jonathan's ticket. Brittany wasn't sure if she wanted to go, because she didn't really understand the game. Needless to say that now she is a big fan. She loved it!
I gave her one of Jonathan's Argo shirts (that is now too small for him) and an Argo's hat to wear. She looked like a veteran fan, not a first-timer like she really was.
Since, Jonathan was not able to go, Mark decided since he didn't have an authentic Argo's jersey of his own, that he would wear Jonathan's.
One of the exciting highlights of the game was meeting Damen Allen. Brittany had no idea who Damen Allen was, however, he is Jonathan's favourite player. (Damen Allen #9, was the Toronto Argonaut's quarterback for the last several years before retiring this past May.)
Brittany enjoyed thanking her brother for giving her his ticket, that he paid for, which allowed her to meet the 'Allen' dude. So, now she has a football that Damen Allen signed and she has pictures too! Jonathan, of course, was so happy that he was able to do that for his little sister. (HA!)
Brittany seems to think she should go to all of the games now. Her brother, however, is not too keen on giving up any more of his tickets.

Way to go Brittany! I'm glad you had such a great time! Hide that football from your brother, okay!
Oh! Little sisters...they just have the most amazing ways to torment their "Oh so patient" big brothers!
....even when they are NOT trying.
I feel for Jonathan, missing out on the big photo op.
And that's the way it happens. You go to a game, get caught up in the drama and excitement and you are hooked for life!! One by one I have fallen in love with different sports so I can relate to your daughter's enthusiasm. I have never been to a Canadian game though. Perhaps I need to check that out..
Love the pictures! What a memory maker for her. :)
