Godly Wisdom

I am studying Lisa Bevere's book Nurture with some ladies meeting weekly in my home. This week's focus was Recovering Intuition.

It's very important to know whether the inner signals you're receiving are God's intuition or the enemy's suspicion.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 NIV

These are the eight characteristics of godly wisdom that confirm when you're hearing from God.

If you are not sure if you are hearing God's voice or not, measure it with James 3:17.

When a truth is spoken the Holy Spirit confirms it to you and in you.

That's great advice! I need to remember that. So many times I question, "Is what I am hearing from God, or my own desires, or from the devil?" This is a great tool for measuring!

This is a great reminder for me right now, thanks for sharing.
I think, I'll write it out and meditate on it.

I don't know how many times i have second guessed God's voice...you'd think He'd get annoyed with me...He is so patient and desirous of our hearing that He just keeps speaking louder and clearer until we get it.
What a good post Rhonda.

Loving the course! By the way, "Do unto others ..." is not a Bible verse! Go figure! Shari was right.
