My son and his friends, like many other teen boys, like to play Guitar Hero. It's a fun game that can be very interactive and challenging.
The downside - a lot of the graphics can be quite inappropriate. However, when you are the one playing the guitar, you generally don't notice the graphics because you are too busy trying to stay focused on the fingering.
This mom and youth pastor's wife is very excited to announce that a new game will be available on September 25.......Guitar Praise.
With hits by the likes of contemporary Christian musicians TobyMac, Newsboys and Skillet, Guitar Praise looks like it might be a good addition to a Youth Event sometime soon.

We have been hoping and praying that some companies would begin to strike up deals to create games like this and even for Rock Band....that would be so great!!!

When I first saw Guitar Hero, the first thing I noticed was the 'not so nice' graphics. The kids playing the game didn't seem to notice though. I love the idea that the lyrics and the graphics will be positive!!

Maybe we should get this for our next ladies retreat.... perhaps we could even get some new wigs to boot.
Apparently, there is already a 'Dance Praise' out that would be similar to Dance Dance Revolution.
Amen...My kids have drove me crazy for Guitar hero, but I have refused because of the graphic and music. This one I will buy! Won't they be excited.
I'm so glad about this new Guitar Hero!
Also, I think we should get the guitar hero and the dance praise for the next retreat! It's a riot playing both of them.
