More Mother/Daughter Time

If you have a daughter that is still lives at home you've probably heard of High School Musical.

My daughter, like many other young girls, is a fan. She was more so when the original movie came out, but none the less excited with anticipation for the final movie that has just been released. The original movie debuted on tv in January 2006, High School Musical 2 was released in August 2007, again on tv. The final and third movie was released in the theatre this weekend.

My son works at the Cineplex and informed me last week, that the advance tickets for the opening night were selling out quickly. So, a week ago I purchased two advance tickets. This then entitlement me to two red-carpet passes.

Our theatre put on a special red-carpet event for the opening night of High School Musical 3.

Brittany & I dressed up for the event. The instructions were to come 'glammed up' or dress in High School Musical colors.

We walked the carpet and had great seats (since it was just the two of us).

We both gave the movie 'two thumbs up'. After the show, we went to Applebees. After 9:00 on Monday - Friday, their appetizer menu is half price. It was a great evening, full of fun and memories and without a large price tag. (I was able to purchase my movie ticket with Scene points.)

We were so bummed on Friday morning to find out the tickets were sold out---then we had a BRILLIANT idea to try Trenton.
We got there (a tad later than planned after H's favourite supper at East sides!)only to find out that there were "few" seats left, not guarantees we could sit together, AND they didn't take debit. I believe God heard the prayers of a little girl (some would say I'm crazy)--but we made it in, with 4 seats together!
A theatre full of HSM fans--woah! Now that was an experience. Loved the movie-had a GREAT night!!

I hear you all! I got to see it last night with my friends and really enjoyed it! I particularly enjoyed the dance scene with Troy and Chad as little kids...so cute! Those kids are going to love the fact that they had the opportunity to play Zac Effron in HSM3! And you and Britt looked stunning for the red carpet!

Emma was so excited to see the movie. Isn't it funny that through all those people you were actually behind her and her friends in line up? They had a good time. Glad to see that you had some Mom/Daughter time.
