Church Harvest Party

My husband with one of the boys at our Harvest Party.

My daughter dressed up as 'laundry'.

For the past ten years we've been providing an end-of-October alternate family event at our church.

Children (and adults) are invited to dress up in costumes. We have a costume contest, popcorn machine, hot dogs & drinks, cotton candy machine, air-bounce and games. Each child takes home a bag full of an assortment of chocolate, candy & chips.

My husband and I are so blessed to have had so many volunteers to help make this yearly event a success. Tonight, as the evening was finishing, I was noticing how many people were helping. I was feeling especially thankful. It takes many people to help make an event a success. We are so appreciative of the families at our church. They enjoy attending an event and also being a part of helping make it run smoothly.

A few of our great volunteers!!

There were many, many other people that were a part of the event. These are just a few.

Okay, the laundry costume is the BEST COSTUME IDEA EVER! That is hilarious!

I love the laundry costume! I could wear that 24 hours a day! Melissa

We heard it was a great success. Kevin was so exhausted from speaking and leading worship at the retreat... that he was toast by Sunday evening (hard to imagine that speaking 4 times in 2 days could wear a man out!!). It's been a busy weekend for DS.

Great to hear that all went so well!
