Decorating Has Started...A Little

It was beautiful out today. I mean it! Really, really nice.

Yesterday, it was so warm that I was watching the high school football game with short sleeves on. And I still felt warm!

It's November. And it's normally not that warm here in November. Usually gloves and scarves along with a wool coat are already a necessity.

My ingenious husband put up the Christmas lights today. What better time to accomplish such a task than on a beautiful, warm, sunny day.

Because....after all we're only 47 days until Christmas!

I got a new little decoration today. Santa's Bag Countdown Calendar from Hallmark. It has found a home on the fireplace mantle where it sits proudly as the first decoration to be on display in 2008.

As I was running errands yesterday, I thought, "what a great day to at least get the outside decorations up", so that it wouldn't have to be done when the temps, do dip below freezing....but with Maria's party, I knew there was no way I'd convince Mark

Good for you that you've already started putting up your decorations!

We always end up doing it a week or two before Christmas, but this year I'd love to have them up nice and early.

Many sweet blessings!

Ry and I both had Thursday off, so naturally it seemed like the PERFECT day to get everything out!! It is certainly beginning to look alot like Christmas, so exciting!!
We also have a countdown Santa, it is in our kitchen above the stove. :)

Hmmm ... not so warm in Alberta! It's snowed almost every day this week.

I love getting ready for Christmas! We put up a bunch of decorations before we left.

Missing you ....

Love Vicki

Very cute! Believe it or not I've already setup a tree and decorated a full house - but it was for a craft sale so that really doesn't count - does it?

Ok, that is a little frightening. I'm not sure what we are going to do this year with the house for sale. I think I can confidently say that we will be here for Thanksgiving, but Christmas, I don't know. We did however kick off the season with the Rockettes yesterday in the city and with the Operation Christmas Child collection. So, it is getting close.
