Another Momentous Occasion

Today marks another key moment in our household.

My son passed his driving test today!

We woke up this morning to lots of snow. And streets that had not been plowed. It was very slippery and certainly not the best day to have your driving test. Especially when it's the first appointment. We wondered if the licensing bureau may even cancel it.

But they didn't.

And he passed! My son can now legally drive without me... or my husband... or any other caring adult, for that matter, along with him.

He is so excited! He could not remove the grin from his face.

He drove to work tonight alone. He took his sisters car. She was not too happy. Oh well.

Another stage of independence well earned. And another chauffeur...or errand runner.

Congrats to Jonathan...we were both arriving at school around the same time and he was quite excited to tell me...what a day to have to do the test, but should make you feel even more confident in his abilities.

I am eagerly anticipating the day that I can send Nathan to the store when I forget something! I'm also dreading it with all of my might!

Way to go Jonathan! I remember talking to him last year when he was just beginning to drive - he was so excited then too.
