The Weekend....so far

Mark declared that Friday night was Pizza Night. Mmmmm. Pizza is never a bad idea in my books. We ordered from Papa John's our new favorite pizza spot. (Papa John's only opened here this past summer.) Thankfully they had a 3-pizza special, getting everyone to agree on toppings is just not possible anymore.

After supper our daughters and I went to the movies. Sarah wanted to see Bride Wars. The theatre was full and thankfully we found three seats together. And yes, we enjoyed the movie. (However, I wouldn't recommend it for younger viewers.)

Saturday morning, Mark awoke us with yummy smells of breakfast cooking. Scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. What a wonderful way to start the day with everyone around the table together.

Saturday, like any other day, means busy schedules. While Mark picked up groceries, Jonathan, Brittany and I hit the mall to pick up a birthday gift for the party she is attending today.

Brittany will be sleeping over at the birthday party girl's home and the others will be out too. So, Mark & I will have a date night tonight. He wants to see Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood.

We have a busy house, but because they're all teenagers with busy lives, that means Mark & I still get our share of alone time.

How's your weekend going so far?

We've had a very different weekend,
Roxanne and the kids didn't come down.
Ryan and Jenna didn't come down either.
Derek and Amanda didn't have any friends over - in fact both kids hung out elsewhere last night and again tonight.
TOO MUCH QUIET - I may go into shock.

Today Kevin helped Lorne with some electrical work and I took lunch over to the Redka's and help with some unpacking. What a beautiful and unique home they have built! They are one TALENTED couple!!

Well, last night I served in worship at our church for a prophetic evangelism course...
Today I picked up my parents at the airport at 6:30 and we went for breaksfast, then we did some errands.
Then I drove back home to get Matt and took him to work... then I wandered the mall for an hour.. then went to see Lindsay and discovered she had a nasty eye infection and had to go to a few clinics. Got her taken care of and back home... went home, unpacked groceries... I'm going out again soon to pick up Matt after work and take him to a friends and then we have a worship team hang out night planned.
Busy, but good.
Nothing like telling it all!

OK ... remember you asked!!!

Started with going to the dentist to get a simple cavity filled to find out I waited too long and now need a $1800 root canal etc. Oh, the joys of putting everyone else first and being self-employed.

Fri. night, had unexpected overnight company arrive late. Scrambled to get clean sheets on a bed.

Sat. a.m. The painting was done, but all the mess needed to be cleaned up. Paint cans away, "extras" no longer needed in the girls rooms boxed up, tools put away, drop cloths and rags washed. Cleaned the upstairs bathroom, dusted and vacuumed upstairs.

2 more loads of laundry washed, dried and put away.

Stopped by Michaels to buy a couple pic frames - 40% off plus a 25% off coupon.

Ran into the mall with Savannah to buy a couple things.

Bowling birthday party for 2 hours.

Ran to WalMart to pick up a few groceries.

Home - finish laundry, organize our storage room where the shelves had actually come out of the wall and smashed everywhere. COMPLETELY organized the entire room. Organized the office, dusted and vacuumed downstairs. Washed the pots and pans in the sink, loaded and started the dishwasher, washed all the floors.

Today we have church, (which will include a couple "must have" conversations), out for lunch and out-of-town guests arriving for the afternoon and evening.

So, you asked!!!!!

A pretty relaxed weekend so far. There was the usual laundry, a few beds that needed changing, some vacuuming to do and running Jonathan back and forth to work lots...well, I can't lie, Mark does the 12 and 1:00 am pick ups, but I watched movies with him to try and keep him awake until it was time to get Jonathan.

The girls each had a friend over, and stayed very happy and busy, so I took Michael for a long awaited trip to American Eagle, for some new clothes, had lunch together and went to find something at Taste of Country that 4 little girls would think was yummy for supper.

Your weekend sounds wonderful so far! I love how you are all able to connect even though there are so many different activities going on. And that's great that you and Mark are getting some alone time. Travis and I need more of that!

Our weekend has been very lazy so far. That means I have a messy house to clean!

Well, my turn.... I worked Friday night until 8pm then came home and watched one of Todd's DVD's he got for christmas it was the first season of Matlock.... Then Sat I got up early because I had a client at 8:30 am. Then I announced to Todd that he was going to take me out for breakfast, he didn't argue.. So Todd, Ryan and myself went to Denny's for breakfast. Then, the highlight of my day besides doing breakfast with my hubby was going to get my hair done!!!! WAHOO!!! Sat night we went over to friend's for supper, was very nice to connect with friend's. Today, after church I had to run to Wally world to pick up a baby shower gift for a baby shower I was going to right after church. WOW what a busy weekend....and that is my weekend off.
