On Friday night we showed the movie FireProof at our church. I was amazed at the response to it.
The next morning we launched a 40-day Love Dare with many couples who are desiring to recommit to, to rediscover and to develop a deeper commitment with their covenant marriage partner.
I am very excited about this journey for my own marriage and for all of the couples that this movement is impacting.
I was talking to one friend last evening who was describing to me how her husband called the place where she was and had it announced over the p.a. that he loved her.
Another friend was sharing with me her idea of a special gift that she is planning to present to her husband.
Sharing love stories is so wonderful.
I came downstairs this evening and discovered a beautiful bouquet of pink roses on my kitchen table. I had fun with my camera taking some pretty photos while my husband was preparing a yummy supper.
If you haven't seen the movie, rent it, buy it, borrow it. I highly recommend it.

I agree - it is a movie that is certainly worth watching! If someone thinks their marriage doesn't need it, they are wrong! We need to celebrate what we've got and work to keep our marriages something to celebrate.
Enjoy the roses!
we are enjoying the love dare as well!!
Being leaders in the young marrieds we were encouraged to do it with the cell, but we are really enjoying getting back to the basics and reminding each other how good we have it.
I bought the journal some time ago, but I haven't started it yet. You're making me want to jump right in!
Xandra
I had my son bring it home last week from work (Blockbuster) and watched it as I knew I wouldn't be able to join everyone Friday.
Very eye opening movie and Dave (my son) says it has been renting like crazy for the past couple of weeks.Perhaps this is the beginning for couples in this city to start healing.
Fantastic post! Thank you, we also loved the movie and the challenge to be better spouses! This has inspired me to go get the book and start ASAP!
I like what you said Vicki, celebrate our marriages and keep our marriages something to celebrate!!!! SOOOO true!!!! Lovin the book.......
Just watched the movie last weekend....and I want to watch it again. It's the kind of movie I want to glean even more from the second time around. Glad to hear you are doing the Love Dare....may God use it richly in your marriage.
Hey Rhonda, I am new to the blogword and was wondering about the goodle adsense, Do you generate enough income to make it worthwhile. I got the adds on but was not happy with the content so I removed them. What wisdom can you offer as far as the advertising on your blog goes. Thank you so much , Stacy PS I love your blog. Sounds like our hearts are in the same place.
