Happy Birthday Mark!!!

Today is my husband's 41st birthday. I've been celebrating birthdays with him since his 15th.

His birthday is on the perfect weekend for him. Superbowl weekend. (Not a weekend that I would want my birthday to land on.)

Mark is the biggest football fan that I know. He played football all throughout highschool. He also played for a team in Ottawa that recruited him and then that team went to Vancouver to watch Grey Cup and played a game before the CFL teams competed.

Mark has been an assistant coach to our high school football team for the past three years. It's a volunteer position that his boss (our senior Pastor) has allowed him to do. He started when Jonathan was in grade nine. He loves spending time with the teenage boys and having an opportunity to speak into their lives. He is an awesome encourager.

Mark has been a long-time fan of the Chicago Bears (I know, just like Jim on According to Jim). But his absolute favourite team is the New England Patriots! Anyone who knows him knows that he is a big Pats fan.

I love my husband. He is an amazing man. He loves God. He loves me. And he loves our children.

Today I celebrate him and his life. And this weekend is 'Daddy's weekend', as declared by Sarah (our oldest). So, we'll have a weekend of his favourites!

Happy Birthday Baby!!!!!

Happy 41'st Mark!!!

I didn't know this was your birthday, I will have to come up with some "Extra manly" treats for your Superbowl party now.

Thanks for making my oldest your convert, he figures that if the Patriots lose to the Giants it will be the single worst loss in sports history....He is SERIOUSLY convinced too; (and as only a confidant 15 year old can, tried to convince us as well). He has also expressed his concern for you should the unthinkable happen.

Hope you had a great day!!!!
