Winter Storm 08

Snow, blowing snow, drifting snow, freezing rain, more snow and...a day at home!

Today is a P.A. Day for the kids, which interpreted by them would mean a wasted 'snow day'. I went to work this morning, but before long we received an announcement that the school board was closing all of the schools. That news was not hard to take. An early day for me...with pay!

I took advantage of the 'bonus time' to get ahead on my laundry, make an overdue phone call to my mom, and relax by the fireplace with my new book 'Captivating'.

I received another unexpected, for-no-special-reason gift this week. A great friend surprised me with the journal workbook that accompanies the Captivating book. What a wonderful blessing. I opened up the book this afternoon and began answering the questions.
My journe
y with this book will be even more effective!
Perhaps a coffee/tea date will be in order to disc
uss this book together.

Today marked another milestone in our family. Our son, Jonathan, passed his G1 test. He now has his learner's permit and will soon be on the road practicing.

He turned 16 in December, but with the business of Christmas followed by end of semester assignments and exams, he only now just had time to study for his test. He is very excited, to say the least!

We feel as though we just finished going through this experience with Sarah - oh, but yes, we actually did just do that!!! And now, here we are again.

According to Mark, we won't be going through this with Brittany. Why? Well, because Brittany, is just simply not going to grow up....at least that's what her Daddy wants to believe.

I'm really enjoying the book - girls I would highly recommend it. I'm in for a coffee and book discussion just name the time and place.

The title sound's intriguing who is the author?
I really need a good book, and have been looking for a while, but nothing catches my interest.

Mark's delusions about Brittany are somewhat contradictory to his comments to me that I can TRY and keep Jianna from growing up too fast...don't you think?

My Jon can't wait until summer to write his test....I've asked him to do me a favor and not speak of it too often just yet, he needs to give me time to adjust.
