New Years Day 2009

New Years Day at our house was very quiet. We slept in quite late recuperating from last night's fun.

I baked some banana muffins for a late breakfast snack. The recipe is here.

I did some laundry (this tends to be a daily 'fun' thing for me)

We took down all of our Christmas decorations and have restored our home back to normal.

Mark & Jonathan played some XBox.

I watched some movies with my daughters and worked on my 1000-piece puzzle that I bought on boxing day.

Mark cooked a yummy prime rib roast for our New Years Day supper.

We ate a little early so that we could have a meal as a family before Jonathan headed off to work at the theater.

It was such a nice relaxing day spent with all of my children at home.

Happy New Year! I think I am going to have try that banana muffins recipe. Keep posting recipes. I left my cookbooks at home and am depending solely on the internet.

Sounds great!

New Year's Eve day I made a massive amount of banana muffins and stocked them away in the freezer for back to work and back to school days.
I'm not ready to put my lights and garland away yet... I may keep some lights up all winter.

Have fun with your camera!

Don't you just wish we could have LOTS of days like this. I still need to get the Christmas things down and am dreading it.

We had a quiet and relaxing day also. My decorations were already down so I just did a bit of laundry and relaxed. Kev, D and I played some XBox (I stink)!

Kev barbequed some awesome steaks (YUM).

I didn't even shower till 4:30 and then just got back into a clean pair of new pja's.... this is the life for me!

Hi there!

My resolution for this weekend - catch up on my blog reading. Gosh, it's amazing how quick and easy it is to get behind! And, believe me, I'm way behind. Anyhoo...I've enjoyed seeing what you've been up to. I can't believe it's been so long since I've stopped by. Bad me!

Hugs!
Kat

I tackled my closet on New Year's Day. This was something I've been meaning to do all fall...then fall became winter. At least I got it done before it's time for spring housecleaning!
I wore my pjs till 7 p.m., when I showered and put on clean pjs. Umm..kinda sounds similar to my sister's day.

Our decorations went down New Year's eve and we had our best friend's come up so on New Year's day we did turkey and all the trimmings. But before that lovely supper we went to the gym......
We ended the evening off playing cranium with the young ones!!!!!
